Fun learn how to tribal bellydance and drum DVD
Zoe Jakes makes this DVD very fun and entertaining. She starts with a good long warmup routine, before she teaches us step-by-step a solo tribal dance choreography to a drum beat. The drum beat is even shown to us how to play, by the drummer Isaam. If you're looking for a fun tribal bellydance routine to practise, or a different warmup routine to practise, this is perfect. And if you want to learn how to play a drum beat for a tribal bellydancer, this DVD is a good for you too! I think this DVD is worth 4.5 out of 5 stars.

For a beginner just go slow and do lots of practice
As a beginner, I think that this DVD's workout is just long enough, stopping right when I wanted to! With the teacher's instructions about which muscles to isolate, I can just work on finding these muscles and start to use and strengthen them. I don't push myself at all, and I noticed that I can usually find one student in the class behind the teacher that shows me a way that I can approach an exercise that I find too hard. I definitely don't do the exact exercises that the teacher shows, so that I don't hurt myself. Instead I use her exercises as a guide as to what muscles to use in slightly easier versions of her exercises. Using this DVD along with other yoga and bellydance strengthening DVDs over a few months, I already feel stronger and healthier. The teacher is nice to listen to and I would give this DVD 4 out of 5 stars.

Awesome tutorial content for core support structure
The tutorial given by the dance teacher about all the muscles used for bellydance, and how to protect your spine from injury by learning proper posture and by strengthening certain muscles, is worth getting this DVD for alone. You will learn concise proper posture for bellydance, and this information is useful to use in ordinary life's posture and strength too. The tutorial is very long, over an hour, and still more that I am yet to watch. It is alot to take in, so I watch it about 20 minutes at a time. The exercises shown are useful and the core strengthening routine shown by the teacher and 2 students is good. I think 3.5 out of 5 stars for this DVD, because it is very helpful.
