Brand New General Combo Moisture Meter - Pin-Type & Pinless - MM9

Nice meter but bad design

The meter works well and is helpful. But I greatly prefer the old pin-type General Moisture Meter because it would fit in a pocket. I work as a home inspector and need to carry a moisture meter comfortably while crawling through tight spaces. This new meter has "ergonomic" design, so it's comfortable in your hand, but it's impossible to fit into any pocket in my coveralls. I will still carry it to my jobs, but I'm in the market for something that works better for me.

Good alternative to a roof rack

High quality materials at a very low price. I carry a 16' ABS canoe on my Prius V with this setup. The only modification I had to make was that the orange straps, though long enough for the front, do not adequately reach the tow hooks on the back of the car. I had to use a different strap. I also added a couple of rope ties for extra security. Drove at 65 mph through rain and wind for four hours and the canoe was completely secure.
