M-Audio 9900-53120-10 Axiom 61 USB MIDI Controller Version 2

Axiom 2nd Gen - cheaply made
This is a scathing review primarily because It is hard to find a versatile controller in this price range. I completely understand the challenge companies have to produce a quality product and actually make a profit. That being said, its time to get real. I purchased this thinking it would be decent quality but with improvements from its predecessor which I owned. Wrong! The actual keyboard is awful and useless to play on. Keys are too light to press with any sensitivity and sit so high that you can't play smoothly. The whole thing feels like a kids entry level Yamaha keyboard. The faders are cheap and the display is unattractive. like an old digital alarm clock. Not nearly as nice as the Axiom (white version) I previously owned. Its only saving grace is that integrates nicely with ProTools. Others in this price range including the Alesis are just as bad though with even less features. I have a full length Casio CDP 120 keyboard with a USB connection that cost less than this and has weighted keys and excellent action. It can't sit on your DAW desk but if you are a musician that needs to play with expression, you'll capture the essence of your playing better with the Casio then use your midi editor to fine tune. I'll use it simply to make edits.

LIMITED EDITION Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Light-Up LED Christmas Ornament

Zelda ornament - pricey but worth it
This ornament lights up with a switch on the bottom. Colors alter as it lights up and because its LED the draw on electricity is low. My son was thrilled to receive this. Plus: Anything Zelda related thrills my child. The packaging is very cool and eye catching. Minus: It cost as much as some games.
