Its good not great.
I had an earlier version of this phone for about 15 years. When the speaker phone quit functioning I decided to replace it with this phone. Even though this is an updated version with minor modifications it is basically the same phone with the same shortcomings. The phone audio is reasonably good at lower volumes though the corded phone and speaker phone get an annoying hum at higher volumes. The other function that is marginal at best is the display. As noted by others if you try to set the contrast above 2 background gets too dark. For what is available today in a corded phone with a speaker phone for landline use it is a workable but not great option.

Good quality from Germany as usual
Nice quality though I wish stainless was a heavier gauge. After reviewing hundreds of thermometers it became apparent that getting an accurate one since the demise of mercury thermometers is not easy. After using 4 other thermometers as a base line I believe this thermometer is reading approximately 1 degree higher than the actual temperature. Over all happy with the quality and reasonable accuracy. DO LIKE THE FACT IT IS MADE IN GERMANY AND NOT CHINA !!!!!

7.5" Ryobi Edger Blade. Yea !
Not easy to find a edger blade that is the right size for a 21 year old ryobi edger. Was exact match ( 7.5" x 2" ). Everything being made now is 7.75" or 8" and won't work without shortening length. Great find and reasonable price including shipping.
