Best Consumer Grade Wireless Router on the Market Right Now
1 of 1 found this helpful Added this RT-AX86U to my existing RT-AX88U to create an AiMesh system. ASUS AiMesh is now on version 2.0 and it works much better than version 1. My AiMesh is configured with the RT-AX88U connecting to the cable modem and the RT-AX86U is a node using a wireless WiFi 6 backhaul. I know a wired backhaul would be better, but I am not able to run that cable. However, since my internet connection is only 200 down 10 up, I think the wireless backhaul is NOT being overloaded. I get the same speedtest benchmarks regardless if my laptop WiFi connection is to the RT-AX88U or to the RT-AX86U. IMHO the RT-AX86U is the best consumer grade wireless router available right now. For me, it's only weak point is that it only has four LAN ports, but an inexpensive switch would fix that. Also, the ASUS-Merlin firmware has just become available for the RT-AX86U. Having that firmware installed makes both routers and AiMesh even better.

Great design. Poor steel.
4 of 9 found this helpful For me an EDC knife has to follow the rule of "threes". It has to weigh less than three ounces. It has to have a blade length of less than three inches. And it has to have steel of one of three types: S110v, S35vn, or M390. Unfortunately, this knife comes with 420HC steel. 420HC is not a quality steel. Oh well. As Meat Loaf once said, "two out of three ain't bad."

It's a clone, but it works in my Hitachi. UPDATE: Died after 8 months of light use.
This product is a clone. It is not a Hitachi battery, but it fits my Hitachi drill perfectly. It charged up just fine and worked great on the small project I used my drill for. The only question is longevity. i.e. 1) how long can I work with the drill before a recharge is needed, and 2) how long before it will no longer take a recharge. Only time will tell, but at this price point, I don't expect fantastic performance. If it works for two years, I'm happy.
UPDATE 1: I bought this in May and it is now November (of the same year) and I have answers to my two questions above. 1) It lasts only about 75% as long in moderate use compared to the original Hitachi battery. 2) It has now DIED completely. It will NOT recharge and is only good as a paperweight. I will NOT be buying another one of these batteries.
UPDATE 2: It has been a week since I sent an email requesting a warranty replacement. Have heard nothing. Apparently, the 5-year extended warranty is not true. Guess I learned my lesson. "Buy cheap... get cheap."
