A very beautiful addition.
2 of 2 found this helpful The doll arrived in beautiful condition, and is very attractive as an ornament, having been bought as an art form rather than a doll. Very well decorated and very feminine on an old fashioned way. Very nice to look at.

Forget the fact that it's a Barbie film - great entertainment for all ages!
I have watched at least 18 different Barbie films and this one ranks in my top 5! Barbie Princess and the Pauper has all the elements that make a well-loved musical: the songs are cleverly written and professionally performed, the story is likeable, and there is an endearingly innocent level of comedy throughout - both slapstick for younger kids, and some more clever jokes which could mean that it would appeal to adults too.
The animal characters are less insipid than in some of the other Barbie films and play a more prominent role in the storyline. The music is memorable and lasting, there is plenty of adventure (courtesy of a particularly brilliant villain!), plus welcome evidence of old-fashioned chivalry, and some charming romantic moments, all enhanced by the fact that the story takes place in a time when girls wore those gorgeous full skirts!
If you are looking for 90 minutes of unashamed escapism, this is it - forget that its a 'Barbie' film because the only thing really giving that away is the DVD cover and menu page! This is a feisty fairytale for all ages, and could well become a family favourite, owing to the quality of the performances, the comedy, and the super-catchy songs of course!
