Reference book
This is a very useful tool for Biblical Research. Got it for my daughter who is entering seminary this fall.

Bryson Scores again
Bill Bryson has done it again. Ever wanted to know a little bit about everything? This book has it. Mostly it is about technical or scientific evolution through the ages covering dinosaurs to Atomic Energy. He was a wonderful warm way of relating the information in a very entertaining way. There wasn't really anything I didn't like about it. I bought it because I had read / listened to Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods which was very entertaining. A Must Read for anyone who is interested in how we got where we are today.

Rand McNally Atlas -
Houston is such a big city that traditional maps have such small print that I can't read them. This map allows the user to navigate to a particular area of the city using a map that provides the scope of the entire city and then directs the reader to a particular page that shows the magnified section. The only type of map that I would use in a large city.
