Bad hard drive
18 of 25 found this helpful I was unable to sync any music to the iPod so I used the CopyTrans software and I was able to sync a few thousand songs. Every time I tried to sync with iTunes there were errors.I thought it might be because the hard drive wasn't formatted correctly so after formatting to Fat32 I ran diagnostics and it had 16000 bad sectors. I ran 2 different hard drive recovery programs that failed. After testing I wasn't able to sync with CopyTrans anymore. The hard drive needs to be replaced.
