  I just noticed this negative comment. I assure you there were no issues with the scope when it was shipped. I feel you have two possible avenues to resolve this matter. #1-File a shipment damage claim back to the carrier if you suspect it was damaged in shipment, #2, send it back to Leupold (lifetime warranty) for repairs if you feel it is inoperative. A third option is to send it back to me, you pay return shipping, and I will refund your money in full less the shipping/insurance cost.
