Battery life for days
I bring both battery magazines with me in the field. One holds 2 rechargeable camera batteries the other takes AAs. Since I own 4 of the rechargeable type, I can essentially shoot for 6x as long. The design allows for changing the battery magazine without needing to remove the camera from whatever it is mounted to. Helpful when doing long exposure astrophotography.

Great except for the tripod.
The tripod is horrible. Looks like someone built it in their garage using a pipe bender and pop rivets. Difficult to get the tripod perfectly level due to the cheesy adjustments. All of that being said, it still works pretty well once you find signal. I purchased an ASL-1 and an analog signal finder to make the setup a one person job. Without those things, you'll need a second person to provide feedback using the signal strength meter on the TV using the satellite setup menu. I'm also having a custom tripod built from Dutch Hill in Snohomish, WA. A quality tripod will cut about 10-15 minutes off the setup time, and will also be less likely to tip over. The anchors provided with this kit are pretty useless.
