3 of 3 found this helpful I have an in-ground pool that was using a Hayward 2hp pump/filter after 3 years it wore out, I replaced with like model and lasted for three seasons. Most haywards seem to last longer but not mine! At 4 to 5 hundred a unit I decided to give this thing a try, for 125 bucks and a good return policy I did and I am impressed! A bit smaller but very tuff. Very quiet and moves ALOT of water. Tried it with the vacuum and it is perfect. Now for the cons, I couldn't find fittings or pipe to fit the unions on the unit so I used 2- 1.5" rubber "hi pressure" connectors and it went in perfectly. The system has been in service for several days now and doing fine. Wasn't sure about the connectors or how long they will last but for 3.60 apiece, I can change them out every season if needed. Still early yet but I have "High Hopes" and a well circulating pool. .......It has now been about 9 weeks and I am totally impressed with this pump!! Connectors are holding fine and my pool is crystal clear. Major circulation and very quiet! I recommend this pump.
