Good value
This is an ideal project for beginners to PCB assembly but it would have been useful to have received a note with the kit explaining where the two different transistor types should be fitted.

Radio lasted all of a week!
My RF-D1 lasted all of a week before it failed but that was long enough for me to decide that I didn't like it.
To be fair DAB is pretty poor compared with fm but other DAB sets that I've heard (Pure's "Tempus 1" and Acoustic Solutions "Portal") have much more authority on classical music and make the Panasonic sound awful.
Sadly the RF-D1 isn't much better on fm as the tinny little 'speakers a couple of inches apart in a flimsy plastic case can't be expected to provide a satisfying listening experience. Plug a decent pair of headphones in though and the radio is just about acceptable - but only on fm!
