CALLAWAY GOLF 2015 XR 3 HYBRID GRAPHITE 6.0 (STIFF)
17 February 2016
Holy smokes! Look at it go!
I've always been a pretty solid long iron hitter. On a whim, I hit the 22 degree hybrid and on trackman saw an 18 yd. gain over my 4i. Well that's off a mat I thought In real world conditions, this has basically replaced my 5 wood. It has a tremendous flight that is easy to control and lift. It comes down at a good angle to stop on greens better than my 4 too. Even my pops was impressed and he is about as old school as it comes. I saw, in a few shots, easily well over 215 yds off the fairway. Plays great out of the rough too. I ended up hitting my 22 on 13 out of 18 holes with no mishits. Truly impressed. Now I need a 3h.
Titleist AP2 710 Irons RH 4-P DG S300 Stiff Steel

for those seeking length and feel
I've played titleist 690cb,690mb, several mizunos, macregor old school, hogans, etc. These were the clubs that truly taught me how to hit the ball. I'd always had accuracy, and could hit my 6 about 155, but with these I finally felt what hitting down meant consistently, and watched the ball soar away with a buzz. I added huge numbers to my distance, though did sacrifice some accuracy. I will say this. I thought my set was fake at first. They look a little cheap next to the 714 and 716s. I would recommend verifying your set with titleist, as I did. I think the number is 1-888-titleist. If you are between the 710 v 712, get these. They perform pretty similar to the 714, though the 714 looks much better, but will also cost a good 300 more. Good feel. Not a pure forged feel like the mb, or mizuno. It is somewhat click on impact. A thicker top line than most players clubs, but still moderately workable while providing amazing distance. I love these clubs. The 710 keeps pretty well too and seems to maintain better than the 712s.

Titleist 690 MB Forged Iron set Golf Club
19 November 2015
Some of the best you can buy
The 690 mb is one of my favourite clubs, hands down. I usually play mizuno and own the 4's, 68's, 67's, 59's, and 54's, in addition to the ap2 710, and several hogan apex. I play these better than all those. At first, I thought maybe I got a lucky set that just meshed well with my 87-90 mph swing speed with consistent tempo. when I saw a set for an absurd price I bought them too and they are just as good. The titleist 600 series (670, 680, 681, 690) are all pretty much the peak of titleist blades, so much so the new 716 is basically a copy of the 681. I've introduced several other golfers who were afraid of blades to that misconception through these. Pros Great soft feel. You get a consistent buzz when hit right from the ball. Good flight, but can pop sometimes. Great flow through set. Look amazing. Thin topline. Some of the easiest blades to hit available. Great turf interaction. Cons Clubs have been around awhile. Most likely consider new grips into price. Slight tendency to pop. If I had to choose one iron to play the rest of my life, I'd be hard pressed between these and my mp-4s. They are that good. Last outing, 6 birdy putts in 9 holes (didn't make one but that's not the irons fault)
