almost great
1 of 1 found this helpful several of the pencils from this company came with broken tips. i was dismayed the box had no protective packaging like bubble wrap to protect the box. i was and still am concerned about broken cores but so far no problem.
i had ordered another set of raffines from a different company and they came wrapped in bubble wrap. i mean these things are bounced from china to the US. extra wrapping for basically what is a delicate product seems to be logical.
the pencils have great colours. they are harder than polychromos but you aren’t paying the price for polys either. i like that hardness in some cases, as the pencil holds a sharp point longer and can get into tiny spaces well.
they have nice build up of colour to a a lovely intensity. i might not have bought the polychromos if i had bought the marco raffines first.

i love these waxes. i'm new to mixed media so these were a real revelation.

great pencil
it takes awhile to get used to coloring with holbeins, but the effort is worthwhile. they won't work on all papers though.
packaged well and in my hands in two weeks. i love being able to track the package in detail. thank you to a super seller.
