Everything a Ham wants to know and more...
A great reference for both the novice and accomplished Ham. Advertised as the biggest ARRL handbook to date, it jumps right into the meat of being a Ham, from electronic theory and FCC rules, to antenna designs -- with just minimal ARRL puff. Most interesting is the number of hands-on projects presented, from the simple to advanced, including transmitters, power supplies, and beyond. So whether you are a new or old Ham, you'll find the handbook to be a treasure-trove of helpful insights and rock-solid information.

    Up, Up, and away....
This is a great book for Hams wanting to understand the theory and practice of erecting vertical antennas. The designs presented range from the basic to the profoundly complex -- requiring a real grasp of the theory of hurling RF over long distances with a minimum of distracting influences and interference. The book explains the why's and wherefore's of good vertical design, supported by sound logic and, depending of whether you were paying attention in summer school, formulas. To be clear, however, the authors freely accept the limitations of vertical antennas; but they also explain how to get the most out of what you might have to throw into the rewarding effort, especially when resources and conditions are limited.

An excellent source of inspiration for the designer.
A excellent overview of newspaper design as evaluated by the experts. The book is large, almost coffee table size, with numerous color reproductions of what it takes to get your design to the next level. The book is conveniently divided into sections, somewhat like a newspaper, focusing on various elements, like news, features, and special sections. Overall, it is a very good reference material and an jump-off inspiration source when you just can't get the light bulb in your brain to go on.
