Namco's last official motoGP game? Let's hope not.
This game is the 4th of the series, I have already played the 2nd and 3rd, and loved them, so I decided to buy this one. Like the previous releases, this game is accurate as far as MotoGP tracks and Teams go, and it's a pleasure to be able to play the riders you root for in real life. The new features : -Online Play- haven't tried it. -Addition of the 125 and 250cc classes, a good way to learn the ropes on smaller displacement machines. -16 official tracks. -Compete and earn GP points to upgrade your bike, and unlocks bonus stuff (riders, tracks, parts, bikes etc...). -Also the 'cockpit view' has been replaced by an 'inside helmet' view that is pretty awesome (you even have to wipe the shield from time to time) but although it adds to the game's realism, it's harder to see, I wish they had kept the cockpit view as well. The game menu is clear and easy to navigate and loading is average (a little faster than MotoGP'08). Game options let you personalize the game to your liking. As usual, you can ride with or w/o assistance, depending on your skills. The Arcade mode is still one of the best out there to have fun immediately on the track/bike of your choice. Graphics are good, still not up to the level of Polyphony's Tourist Trophy in my opinion, but on par (a tiny bit flashier colors but a tiny bit less smoother edges) with Capcom's MotoGP'08 (now the Official MotoGP game). Handling is very good. A little easier than MotoGP'08, the bike doesn't loose grip as easily here, which is not a bad thing since it can really discourage players when they crash all the time. The bikes all have a slightly different handling but it's not too pronounced so you can race two different bikes in the same categories and still have a chance at beating each-other. Briefly I would say it's a GREAT game for the money and if you want to play the '06 season when Nicky Hayden beat the best riders of the World and nags the Championship: here's your game. Kudos Mr.Hayden!

A fun & affordable game for everybody over 4 years old.
This game is really good for the money. More than 8 years after its launch I am still having fun playing it. I used to play the 'Cool Boarders' series on the PSone and when I got my PS2, I didn't play snowboard games for a while, until I bought this one (for under $5.00. I am not by any mean a snowboard champion or even a good beginner, but I love to have fun going down the mountain and that's exactly what you do with SSX. It is one of the only 'racing' games that I play with my kids (we also play MX2002 and Tony Hawk underground together) and they love it. I can hear them laugh when they play together. It's a good game in the sense that it's easy to handle, set-up and learn the basic tricks. You start with 2 tracks and about 4 characters who can choose between 2 set of gear/clothing, and 2 board designs. You are now ready to race and when you win, you unlock tracks, gear and characters, and also your skills improve, your character becomes better and better. A very simple script but it always work. The Graphics are very good for the time and handling is easy and (almost) natural, although I prefered doing tricks on Cool Boarders. One original feature is that you can 'push' away other racers when they get too close. There is also a 'free riding' mode that allows you to learn the tracks and practice. Overall a great game for the money recommended for anyone over 4 years old.

Among the Best Animated Series
An excellent Anime series, with a solid plot and character cast, beautiful drawings and polished animation, Miyasaki(Princess Mononoke)style. I was slowly drawn into the adventures of Balsa, a woman bodyguard who is also a martial artist and a master with a spear. She is being assigned a job against her will : to guard and protect at all cost the Prince whose life is in danger. Action is well timed with enough slow sequences to follow the storyline and enough realism in the characters behavior to keep you watching. This is not a typical good vs evil story that we've seen too many of, it's about human feeling, the quest for power and the relationships with the Spirit World. I truly recommend this.
