Not Jane Austen!
The film is well made and one wants to keep watching to see what happens. After all, it is a detective story. But for Jane Austen lovers, it doesn't live up to expectation. Elizabeth is not as attractive as in Pride and Prejudice and Darcy's refusal to listen to her and his treatment of Georgiana would not, one imagines, be approved by Jane Austen. But the idea of writing a follow-up of Pride and Prejudice and making it into a detective story is a clever one. The acting is very good.

Works well but has some drawbacks.
The bags work well but the closure is different to the usual one and a bit hard to get used to.

A wonderful BBC production.
This BBC production is superbly done. The acting is first rate, the photography is excellent and the stories are gripping. One gets completely involved in the characters and the story. It is a real shame that the BBC stopped making the series.
