Venetian blind slat cutter
Works very well, can be a bit temperamental, the part that measures the cut can move without you noticing and you end up cutting off more than you want. Great for off the shelf Venetians that need to be sized, but you still need to be able to cut the top and bottom steel sections of the blind, I used a power tool.!!!

How to beat the middle man
I replaced all the components for my particular card and the machine is running. You may want to hone your soldering skills on something with electronic components that you can discard afterwards. I hope to get another half dozen years out of my washing machine.
