Jellycream - Doyle Bramhall II (CD 1999)
1 of 1 found this helpful Texas born Doyle Bramhall II is the son of famed Texas drummer Doyle Bramhall, who has played with many of the Texas greats like Stevie Ray Vaughn. If you never heard Doyle Play, he has a Texas based blues style that of Stevie Ray, with a Hendrix flavor but not as fast & flashy. He played with Roger Waters on his 2000 tour and handled David Gilmore's parts as well as vocals PERFECTLY! Doyle plays with the emotion of older '60's and '70's gutar players that were not trying to compensate their lack of emotion with speed. Clapton has recently hailed Doyle as writing :his favorite new album" I love Doyle's vocals as well. His vocal style oozes with that same bluesy emotion as his axe slinging. One of my new favorite guitar players.
