Works as bright spot light
In Southern California solar works. This light I attached first to the wooden fence by simply tightening an included bolt, but a tree was blocking the light, I moved solar in a corner of the backyard where sun shines for 10 hours. The sun hours exposure, a distance, and reflection are matter. There are also limitations how far the lights is positioned from the object you want to be illuminated. A white wall or a white color boulder are more reflective then a dark wooden fence and as a result more effective subject of illumination at night.

Big Help
I took one star off because this white cloth is so good in attracting dust it makes hard to clean it. We have a dog and don't take of street shoes The instructions to machine wash doesn't cut it actually, it doesn't remove dog hair and fine dirt completely. Having many of these and replacing them eventually is my plan to go around this issue. The blue cloth is easier to clean with a brush manually.

Reliable effortless bright solar light
I bought one by one total six. Apparently they are of German reliable design. First I bought a variety of solar lights to see if they work for long and only these kind is still working after a year. They are easy to hang and take off. We have power outages and these six lights keep us through five, six hours.
