Cute as a kitten
These are as described. The length of the box was given, but I didn't make a mental picture of how TINY these would be. These will probably be decoration rather than used.

What is the point of reviewing a hard-to-find, 85-year old item?

Easy to read by sections.
Explores the first decade of the 20th century, particularly peoples' attitudes, Why the middle class resisted change, how fear-mongers warned of a German invasion that was later proved to have never even been planned), how the upper class sensed it was the last chapter of the world they knew. Before the World War, and then incredible and fast-changing modernization began.
If you read it with today's problems in mind, you will see a lot of similarities.
