Proper Propertius
I wish I had done Latin at Alevel; Propertius demands it. This commentary on Book I of his Elegies includes an exhaustive commentary as well as a translation; both are hugely enjoyable and with effort, I found my Latin wasn't as bad as I had assumed. I would recommend the book
to anyone with a more than passing interest in Propertius.

Tough Listen
Bartok's string quartets, some say, are the best since Beethoven's and are quite a tough listen,
which is why a bought the scores. The introduction tackles this problem and all in all, I am glad that I bought the volume. Still some way to go...
