Mm mm good
I mainly make Americano's with this machine. I adjusted the settings for the amount of water and it makes them perfect every time.
I had a machine very similar to this one a few years ago but different brand and it just wouldn't grind long enough. That caused the espresso and therefore the Americano to be acidic and watery. So glad this one works correctly .

Nice machine and smaller footprint than my Delonghi
I don't know how long it will last but I do know that it makes a nice crema on my Americano coffees. I use Puro Tico (a medium roast) from Avoca Coffee and two dark roasts from Black Rifle Coffee Co. called Just Black and one called Tactisquatch. This machine does a better job than my Delonghi Magnifica because it grinds about enough for a double shot each time instead of the single shot that my Delonghi does. If you want a double shot with it you push the double shot button but the grinding, compression, and dispensing has to go through two cycles instead of the one cycle that this one does.
However, if you hit the Americano button on this machine it goes through two cycles too, one to grind and dispense the espresso then it dumps the grounds and cycles back into position to dispense the hot water. If you buy this machine without the Frother wand it doesn't do that second cycle, it just seamlessly starts adding the hot water after the espresso. So to save wear and tear on my machine I just started making my espressos into Americanos using the steam/hot water wand

Didn't live up to the hype in the reviews
It has that slight coffee mold taste that most Community Coffee has and tasted nowhere near as good as the reviews made it sound. I normally drink Peet's Nerissimo when I'm looking for a dark roast and was hoping this would be a cheaper alternative. Looks like I struck out with this. I usually make my Espressos into Americano's and drink it black so you really taste it for what it is. If you cover it up with cream and sugar it may be good enough to drink.
