Good product - quick cord lengthening hint
The Cuisinart base worked well with my kettle (the original was damaged when the stove hot plate was turned on under it)!
A word of advice - depending on the jurisdiction sourcing the product, users may find the power cord too short. To remedy this, just unscrew the base under-cover & unwind more cord!
I imagine that the shortened cord is because some jurisdictions require that.
