VIRTUOSI OF ENGLAND

A particularly good transcription of the Brandeburgs with the added bonus of two of Bach's best known violin concerti. The Virtuosi of England were an almost anonymous group of musicians made up of performers who needed a few extra bob from some of the best orchestras in the country. Arthur Davison conducted all the works, I believe, which were marketed under the budget Classics for Pleasure label - first class recordings at an affordable price.
