Superb acting and a film you will once again and again
Shutter Island is everything you need in a film.
Headline actor, Di Caprio who is mesmerizing in his performance as the story protagonist Teddy Daniels sent to Shutter Island to investigate the strange goings on.
Leonardo Di Caprio's performance is arguably his greatest performance of his acting career. A powerful and strong statement to make but he really does own the character of Teddy who is not all he seems to be.
Whilst Teddy makes uneasy discoveries about the island his mind is being messed with and Scorsese masterfully leads the viewer down a winding story which ultimately demands the audience to decide the sanity of Teddy.
Everytime I watch this film the clues speak differently and the way you interpret events, actions, even characters' mannerisms can make you see different outcomes for the film through superb attention to detail by Scorsese.
It's a film of great depth and allows different interpretations. Enjoy the journey and believe what you want.
Was Teddy insane from the start, was he turned by the medicine and cigarettes and coffee, did he IMAGINE meeting Rachel Solando in the cave?
You decide...

Coldplay - Parachutes (CD 2000)
3 of 3 found this helpful This was a fine debut CD by Coldplay, a brilliant range of tracks like yellow and shiver as well as not so famous tracks such as 'Everythings not lost'. I would recomend this CD to anyone who has heard their later albums 'X and Y' and 'A rush of blood to the head' and wanna hear their ealier stuff, or just to anyone who has heard 'speed of sound' for example from Coldplay and wanna hear more.
In my opinion their greatest album out of the three, and well worth the purchase

Original, interesting and fun CD that will get plenty of listens
1 of 1 found this helpful The debut album, released in 2008 was a blisteringly good first album full of energy and uplifting melodies.
If anything its just such a good fun, feel-good album that from the word go is instantly playable and endlessly listenable.
What makes Vampire Weekend stand out is their distinctive sound. Yes they are Indie, but with violins, cellos and guitars and pianos fused to create an eargasm for listeners every time.
I've owned this CD since its release and it really is one you can put on and play through and each sound is unique and distinctive from the rhythmic sounds of stringed instruments in 'M79' to 'One (Blake's Got a New Face)' which is just good fun.
The album has energy and will have you bouncing around and singing along its infectious beats and melodies. 'A-punk' 'Oxford Comma' and 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa' are all highlights of the album whilst 'I stand Corrected' and 'The Kids Don't Stand a Chance' demonstrates a more mellow, subtle and thoughtful side compared to other songs.
This ensures the album has plenty of depth and the overriding feeling that each song is unique and quite rightly an experience in itself. I would reccomend this album for instant impact on your life. It will be a worthy purchase as it will get plenty of plays, I probably nearly burnt a whole in the disc i played it so much and for this reason its good value and lots of fun. Perfect for the summer
