Over a year now and still love my Blinks
1 of 1 found this helpful I have had these little buggers for over a year now.
They are amazing. Not really much more to say! We wanted to get cameras installed at our home but were scared off by having to drill and dig through walls to run power to them. Found these and a few competitiors and decided to go with these.
After a year we are still running the original batteries and they show "green" in the app.
Blink has made a ton of additional upgrades to the firmware and app, and now the videos are (max) 30 seconds. Which is perfect for us. No need to record things while nothing is happening right.
All this aside, the main reason I chose to go with these is this:
There are other companies that offer fully "wireless" cameras. Eg: battery powered. The issue with some of the competitors (Arlo for example) is that once motion is detected, there is about a 5-10 second delay between when motion happens and recording takes place. Not with the blinks. Its instant. The moment it sees motion is the moment it starts recording. This was essential for us.
I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a fully wire free camera setup for their home. We love ours.

Good enough, but not 100%
I know one cannot expect too much when trying to touch up leather on their own.
All in all, the color match is not bad. But its not 100%. At least compared to my dakota black, its a bit darker, and has a bit of a brown look depending on lighting.
But the most major fault I see with this product is the fact that it appears to wipe off. I have yet had to reapply it, but can slowly see the white spot coming back. Its been about a month since I have applied it.
Would I buy it again? I sure would. It did the job just fine and I bought 2 on purpose. So I am set for probably the rest of my vehicles life. It covered up some very visible blemishes and made them nearly invisible unless you specifically know where to look.
I do recommend this product, but just know what you are getting... Its not perfect, but one can't expect perfection when trying to DIY repair leather ;)
