Fits the DK-7
This item is a good bargain but you have to find a way to make sure it doesn't come off the Nikon DK-7. The fitting is loose enough to slip over but it will also easily slip off. Perhaps rubber cement will keep it on.

Nice to try but....
I was happy to receive this focusing screen for my Nikon D7100 because I use many manual focus lenses. The kit comes with the white tweezers that have soft tips on them, a couple of finger cots, a metal angled tweezer, Microfiber cloth, and the screen. You must have a clean workspace to lessen the chance of introducing dust into the camera. A headlamp might be handy to illuminate the dark insides of the camera. I was able to open the focusing screen retaining spring but it came out of its mount and was a bit difficult back in without scratching the mirror box flocking, scratching the mirror, or the bottom of the upper glass. Please have plenty of patience and a steady hand.
I was fortunate to get everything back together with only a bit of dust introduced in to the system.
This week I tried out the new screen. It seemed to work okay. With out of focus areas the screen seemed to bloom a bit. Perhaps it was the same for the Nikon screen but I'm not sure. There also seemed to be some rainbow effects seen through the viewfinder. The plastic used may not be of the same quality as what Nikon uses but for the cost it's okay. I will continue to use it and if it bothers me too much perhaps I'll put the Nikon screen back in. Focusing seemed to be accurate. The other maker of focusing screens which are more expensive may perform better but I don't have experience with them. They do have a special plastic tool for opening the spring retainer that may work better than the metal tweezers.

Not much difference
For $33.00 the magnifier does not make that much of a difference in improving the view of the focusing screen. At 1.17X the amount of magnification is miniscule. You would be better off getting the DK-22 Eyepiece Adapter ($4.50) and the DG-2 Eyepiece Magnifier ($112.00) for 2X magnification that includes limited adjustment for your eyesight.
