A fairy of words which dance on your shoulder all day
Being a reader who opens the book at any page, anytime, looking for either encouragement for my day, help with daily issues, or inspiration and joy from the pen of another, I find this is truly a "one off" book. It is not heavy with opinion, it simply offers, but never challenges, an alternative or perhaps just different way of contemplation. The various poetry, honestly acknowledged for their author, lifts me to a world of beautiful words which charm my thoughts away from the mostly harshness of a world overtaken by a pandemic, and the resultant distorted reporting of chaotic politics. Such a gem, a source of the pure beauty of how words can bring forth the loving heart of creation, in both an accessible and embracing gift.
A small easy to carry little parcel, perfect to leave with a friend, simple to replace, but not one to misplace.

Basic slow cooking. Not specifically for diabetic cooking
I found the book to be simply written with clear efficient pictures & easy to understand. Excellent for someone new to slow cooking, or even cooking. The recipes were uncomplicated, as slow cooking is supposed to be. They were also adaptable & could be used on stove top or oven. A variety of recipes meant that they could also be extended, or reduced, according to one's budget, or pantry. It was a little outdated, but a good place to start. I did not find any particular recipes for diabetics, in fact the reverse.
