Get a couple to keep larger bags fresh
There are a lot of copies of the Friis coffee vault, there are some subtle differences, the Friis has thicker gauge wire in the clips and hinges. Also the valve seat is a more positive seal. Speaking of the valves, Friis valves have stuff in them (presumably to absorb co2) while the copies do not. I now have a red, silver and black one. I find they will each comfortably hold a 250gm bag of coffee, but if you buy larger bags of beans, you will need two or more to hold the extra beans.

A Jug that pairs nicely with stick mixer
So our old stick mixer jug died. We looked around and could not find a tall but narrow jug to replace it. We then found this jug, it has nice tall sides, so that when you use a stick mixer, the liquid doesn't spray out the top. It is heavy duty, so when you shake the stick mixer about, it doesn't feel like it is going to break. The handle is thicker than normal jugs, allowing for solid grip. The gradient measuring markings are raised and will always be visable. This should last well into the future, probably longer than our stick mixer. It doesn't state that it is dishwasher safe, but I think the only thing that kills this kind of plastic is heating fatty things in a microwave.

Easy set up, and longer than expected range
This little device connects to my 7.1 android phone through three brick walls, I have a battery that has about 6 months before the warranty runs out. I'm hoping that this will warn me before it is totally dead. From what I have seen so far it will allow me to analyze the battery using graphs. Also it will provide evidence to the battery shop that the battery charging system is not faulty and not abusing the battery, I think I may buy another one for a second car, and track two batteries. This would have allowed me to predict the dying battery in our other car. This would make a good gift for anyone with a smartphone and a battery that needs monitoring.
