Good for the price. Read the instructions.
1 of 2 found this helpful This unit does what its supposed to do. When making a DVD recording, make sure you (FINALIZE)the disc or it may not play on other DVD players.
It seems that none of the DVD or combo DVD/VCR units last very long regardless of the brand.After only 3 months, the VCR section destroyed one of my tapes while playing. I only use the DVD side to record and play.
Also, if you have the unit programmed to record a show, if you turn the unit on with the power button, the unit will switch to the VCR section and none of the functions will operate. When this first occurred I thought there was something wrong with the unit. I found out that as long as I turned the unit on utilizing the (timer set) button, the unit stayed in the DVD mode, thus allowing me to use all of the functions.
Overall, I would say this unit is as good as anything else out there. I have three units that are used to tape and play every day, they get used a lot,would be great if they lasted longer.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND WORK GREAT
They not only hold Taco's but also work great holding Hotdog buns. They are also very easy to clean.

CANNOT BEAT THE PRICE!
I re-ordered Season 1 because the 3 disc set I had purchased was supposed to include the movies and CD Rom and it did not. I did not return the set because the cost would have equaled half the selling price.
You cannot beat the price for what you get. I only gave it a 4 star because I had a problem with the audio in one of the movies. I had to more than double the volume setting to un derstand what was being said.
