Great upgrade!
I have Hipshot detuners on 10 of my basses, and I had an extra unit that was missing the lever. I bought this so I could put that to use with minimal cost, but haven't experimented with the 2nd drop tuning. It went on a fretless bass and I'm already thinking of ideas with sliding chords around. I wish every Hipshot lever had the brass bushing because this is the smoothest one of all!

Works well for the price
I paired it with an onboard 3-band active EQ preamp. I then added a coil tap switch and retrofitted an outdated, forgotten bass to sound more modern. 6 different tones on it now. Routing the body was required, but I did it myself. Sounded so good I bought another set of these pickups to replicate that build. It was easy, inexpensive, and kinda fun. I also like the covered polepieces so the strings don't hit them with a terrible whack noise!
