save some money
This model boasts no advantage to a 58, in fact it seems less sensitive than the older model

Ya get what you pay for and these are no bargain.
Very low output, unimpressive tone, virtually unusable, When placed in a J bass circuit, the sound of plucking the strings was almost as amplified and the 800 watt amplified signal.

Awful lot of money for a dressed up original that functions nearly as well as the knock off.
Ridiculously expensive considering the benefit. while it is well made, it's a relatively simple piece of plated brass, literally unhanged for half of a century. they can make a cheap, albeit , functional knock off in china for $35, so is the black paint worth the nearly 80% margin?
