Great Interface for a Very Reasonable Price
This is the second interface I've used in my home studio (and possibly last until HD interfaces come down in price). The first one had all sorts of firmware issues and bugs, and I couldn't switch from an instrument to a mic with phantom power without restarting the whole computer (if then!). Sometimes I'd have to reinstall the drivers and restart again, then fool around some more to finally coax it into submission. It was a real pain, not to mention how much it constricted my creative flow of ideas. So far this interface has been a godsend. I can record up to 6 tracks simultaneously at 24-bit 96 khz quality with no noticeable lag. It has everything I need in an interface as well. Line/ mic inputs, +48v phantom power, midi in, Best of all... IT WORKS!!! I like its compatibility with Apple's Core Audio drivers, so I simply plugged it into my Macbook Pro, set it up in preferences and audio/midi settings, then opened up Logic and began recording. The only thing that could be improved upon it is including front LEDs for input monitoring, although the clipping lights help well enough. Also I will have to do a bit more testing but I have a hunch the preamps may be a bit too bright for my liking. Might need to invest in a good mic preamp to supplicate this unit. This is a great interface for a very reasonable price (picked mine up used for $55).

All in all a solid controller at a price point that can't be beat!
I bought this product to use solely as a USB Controller for tracking MIDI instruments in Logic in real time. For that task, it does just what it's supposed to. I just plugged it into my usb hub, and there it was ready to get to work. Keys offer a great response, much snappier than my old MIDIman controller, yet not too firm. This is great for taking advantage of its velocity sensitivity. It has pitch bend, modulation, a volume slider, octave up/down buttons and an Edit Mode function (the only button I never use). Feels like it should hold up for many years of rough use. The best part: the price! Very affordable unit that does a great job. I got mine used for about $50, but they go new for less than $100 online.

Needs improvements, but still a valuable resource!
Haven't taken the test yet, but I can already tell this book will definitely help boost my score when I do though. Gives good practice and insight into several aspects that one could expect to encounter on the test. Only got a 4 out of 5 though because it could be improved. The memorization techniques didn't do anything for me, and in the amount of time your allotted to memorize at the exam I could never see this working. Also, the mathematics word problems could have been explained a little better (how and why to set up certain formulas based on the word problems). I feel that this would be a great resource when coupled with another study guide to help round it out. Would definitely recommend!
