Superbly acted and historically accurate
Although released in the mid 70's it is not dated and the cast, all old friends from other BBC productions are most superb. I would recommend to anyone interest in European history at the turn of the 20th century and the events leading to WW1. This ranks among the finest series produced by BBC..

The test of time
I have found that little American fiction has stood the test of time and this, unfortunately, holds true for the brilliant humorist, Robert Benchley. Although his writing does give some insight into a time, long ago and far away, it just does not capture the readers attention. It’s too “long ago and far away”. C’est tout!
