64bit device necessary to load the program.

Make sure you have a device with a 64bit processor. Mine was a 32bit iPad and could not load the app.

Alesis Strike MultiPad Percussion Pad

Attention Non-drummers. This pad's for you!

Full disclosure-I'm not a drummer, so I'll direct this review towards other non-drummers. Been looking for a drum machine that I could create my own beats, patterns. The Strike does that and more. The looper is awesome. Overdubbing a snap. I haven't even begun to explore samples, kits, editing, sampling, there is just so much here. Setup a snap.Interfaces instantly with my computer and Logic X. I am having an issue with external triggers (bass pedal) and double triggering, but this may be due to some nerve damage in my legs. Heavy foot, I guess. Yeah, this pad is a bit pricey but the possibilities for a non-drummer such as myself are limitless. Support from Alesis has been great. As I said, it ain't cheap but as of right now, worth every penny.

Farewell to vintage Discwasher

When I started buying vinyl AGAIN, I brought my vintage Discwasher out of storage. It was a bit worn and split, but managed to do the job. Gave the GrooveWasher a try and ended up with a much cleaner disc. Between the micro fiber fabric and the fluid, there's not much junk left on the disc.
