3 of 3 found this helpful I have the Roadmate 300 for 3 years now. I use it almost daily. I have no problem connecting to the satellite. The unit connects almost immediately.
It gets confused sometimes but always gets me to my destination (or within 1/2 block). I have the Northeast US map that came with the unit. Last year when I travelled the east coast down to Florida I was able to download maps for the southeast as I drove down. The internal memory isn't too big so I had to do it twice. The process required my laptop and wifi connection but I was able to travel the east coast without getting lost. Best use is for the region you have the map card for.
