good return to an older format.
1 of 1 found this helpful in all honesty, i'm not keen on the remastered edition. i much prefer the original edition, where you could hear the sound of the tape. the remastered edition is too clinical, too clean, and with sound that was designed to sound good with certain characteristics of tape, that just doesn't quite work for me.
that said, the sound on the vinyl itself is better than you can download. better than cd. and i have owned both the original tape mastered cds that were relased in the 80s, and remastered cds that were released later, and both don't quite have the same sound as vinyl. this one is a great, full sound, though, which does better than cds, at least while the vinyl is new, and many like myself, in their 40s and older, will appreciate the pop and crackle you only get from well used vinyl. still not tape, but very very good for the nostalgia.
