Don't be afraid to do it yourself.
I have no formal training in HVAC, however I know enough to research which parts are the right ones for the furnace/ac unit. This was the hardest part because there are different size motors for the same model furnace (Rheem 90+). The original part numbers may no longer be valid, but you can find upgraded motors that are made to replace it. I found quite a few youtube videos that will take you step by step through the replacement process. Make sure you take plenty of photos of ALL wiring connections before and while you're disconnecting wires.....you will definitely refer to them while putting things back together. I installed this motor two weeks ago and it has been running continuously since. One very important thing:. Make sure you replace the capacitor when you replace the motor. For the small cost it will save you new motor from failing.
