Stop sparrows and rats
2 of 2 found this helpful Train your chickens. Put brick on pedal for 2 weeks . Then put a clothes pin on the side of box to prop lid open a couple of inches. This allows them to see food and get use to lid movement. Remove clothes pin when they get use to lid movement after another week or so. Problem solved. Highly recommended.

Release problems
The reason for 4 stars is you will have to trim the latches for easier removal from the drill. The latch(s) digs in too deep into the drill base housing. I trimmed mine with a sharp knife. Just trim several thousandths of a inch from the latches until they release properly. Other than that, they charge and work very well.
