I recommed this
I attended the summer inservice where they use this at the University of Washington.
They effectively model the way to understand something deeply and fundamentally.
The text (and the checkout strategies) are the result of decades of detailed research, practically with each individual activity.

Socratic Dialogue
A profoundly changing experience. It is best if you see it before you commit. If you plan to teach by inquiry, by all means apply for their NSF funded summer workshop - they foot much of the bill.
Directly adresses many of the sorts of concerns identified by the videos, "A Private Universe," and "Minds of Our Own."
