Orphan Tractors
The history of farming and the development of the farm tractor industry is one of many ingenious attempts to create what we know as tractors today without knowing what the final versions have become. There are hundreds of companies that have been lost along the way for various reasons. Some from Henry Ford wanting to dominate the market to poor marketing and poor design. Then the downturn in farming of the 1920's and 30's drove most smaller entries into the market right out of the market. Orphan Tractors and more Orphan Tractors tells the story of many that did not survive long enough to make their marks.
