In A Mellow Mood..........
This release is certainal not essential; although the playing and arrangements are all topnotch........
A good choice for late night or rainy day listening. Not a lot of sparks are exchanged, though the disc does grow on the listener with repeated listening.
(It won't get you laid; but they won't go running either, which they would have, if you'd gone with your original choice of Art Ensemble of Chicago....)
A welcome addtion for Harold Land devotees; but the casual listener should start elswhere...

Pure bliss...........
Another bright spot in the long musical journey of Brian Auger.
Over 50 years in the making; and a delicious addition to Brian Auger's impressive canon of superlative albums (of which there are many), and the first as a jazz piano trio.
Recommended for all Brian Auger fans and to anyone who enjoys straight ahead jazz combos.
Bravo !
