Another david lean's masterpiece
the story line is well acted but the star of the show ,hands down, is the breathtaking scenery and stunning photography. You can almost feel the heat of Venice in the summer in this film and you feel that you're actually there. Perfect to watch on a winters day.

easy to use
does the job well but soil too dry to use the bulb planter properly with the hot weather we've been having(hence only the 4 stars) although it helped making holes easier than with a trowel .I'm sure when conditions are right it will do the job perfectly and the dibber's metal tip really makes for easy planting of small bulbs etc

a film of its time
very good quality. the film is basically a U.S wartime morale booster so as such really has no plot just a series of sketches and musical numbers (which are very hit and miss).the highlite has to be bette davis rendition of "their either too young or to old". Not as good as stagedoor canteen but ok
