Great action-packed film about high-stakes robbery in the rough city.

I purchased this one for my friend, and watched it with him. Terrific film! Gritty, realistic drama about a town where the "norm" is bank robbery, etc.; it's the way young men learn to survive there. This sort of film (fairly violent) isn't normally my "cup of tea," but I really liked this one. It really shows the desperation that overtakes the "have-nots" in an urban environment, and one young man's struggle to break free from the lifestyle. Definitely a must-see. Lots of action.

Great CD with some truly classic Allan Sherman bits.

This disc includes many of Sherman's best parodies, including the hard-to-find (never on an album; only released as a single)"Crazy Downtown," poking fun at Petula Clark's smash #1 record, "Downtown." A master at his craft, Allan Sherman was the "Weird Al" Yankovic of the 60's. Though some of the jokes and lines seem a bit dated now, they're still hillariously funny to baby-boomers who remember the pop-culture references. A must-have for fans of good, clean parody humor.

If you're a fan of Daryl & John, THIS is the collection to have! Every track you want is here, and in superb fidelity. From lesser hits, like "Camilia" and "How Does It Feel To Be Back," to the biggies, like "Maneater," "Adult Education" and my favorite, "Did It In A Minute." This two-disc set also includes forgotten gems like "Las Vegas Turnaround (The Stewardess Song)." Great stuff! This series, called "The Essential..." is fantastic.
