Erratic at best

While the product is stylish and well-made, I've had two issues with it which make it impossible to recommend it. The first is that it often takes as many as ten attempts to 'tap' it into life, despite being set on a good firm floor. Despite a lot of experimentation I haven't been able to find a reliable pressure point or foot pressure which will start it up. The second issue is that the machine is highly sensitive to any weight-shift while it is working. I bought this for my aged mother, who is not entirely steady on her feet, and had to swap it over with my own scale because she simply could get any reading other than 'Err'. I' have good balance but as often as not I still get an error reading and have to start again.

Disappointing

When you have swallowed hard and paid for veggie seeds at $1 each, you expect results. I got only 50% germination under almost ideal conditions, so I suspect that the seeds might not have been very fresh.

Needs a re-think

The wheels are too small, so it doesn't handle uneven surfaces; it's difficult to load. I used to have one which loaded at one end and clamped the panel, allowing it to be pulled over rough surfaces on wheels twice this size. This is well made and inexpensive, but does the job poorly because its design concept is flawed.
