Fantastic quality & delivery.
Best recording so far of this monumental musical beast, that makes Mahler's 8th sound like a chamber work.
One easily forgets that this is a live recording until the audience erupts with applause (at over 8 minutes !!! easily the longest applause ever recorded. Sonically superb, astonishing considering the venue & limitations of a live recording.
Arrived speedily, well packaged & in pristine condition. One would never believe it was pre-owned.
Very happy.

Well made retelling emphasizing revenge & adventure.
An entertaining but extremely truncated retelling of the massive convoluted Dumas novel.
The French mini series with Gérard Depardieu came closest (with a full six hours running time).
However, Jim Caviezel is the prettiest Count, probably even more so than Richard Chamberlain, or the classic Robert Donat.
As a swashbuckling approximation of the bare bones of the original, this is a slick, well made period thriller.
Bluray came speedily & well packaged.

A treat for all G&S fans.
A stunningly colourful if somewhat idealized portrayal of the G&S partnership. What makes it an especial joy are the superbly staged excerpts from the operettas authentically presented by legendary members of the D'Oyly Carte company.
Acting is good. Robert Morley channels W.S. Gilbert.
