Fun Has a Price
"U get what u pay for". Universal customers all commenting about the same positive characteristics. For a design that is as old as the Flinstones it is hard to reinvent the wheel, Thunder rely on reputation if nothing else and that reliability on an old design by heaps of customers is good enough for me.

Spy Optics for the Summer
Brilliant stiff, robust gauge frame edge, arms and hinges. Smooth full extension action on hinge and arms. Confidence in repeat function. Absolutely square 100%. Sat on flat table with all four contact points sitting flush without twists or faults. Lenses provide amazing clarity and function, sun blockage beyond expectations.
However keeping lense smudge free is addictive ( may cause premature wear ). Matt finish on frames and arms shows contact easily when wet.
Replacement lenses and warranty fully supported. Extremely robust with form and function. Super lite.

No bang for your Buck
Unfortunately materials are not rare, design is repetitive, function is basic.
There are multiple other products made of simple durable plastic with proven track history which are a fraction of the price.
