Ink availability is a problem

Before setting it up I examined the contents in the box and read all the material, plus did some searching on the Internet. Several immediate problems: (1) Outside the box claims the box contains "Up to 1 year of ink." This is not technically a lie, but the amount of ink it came with would only last me three months. (2) Best Buys where I bought the printer, Target, and WalMart did not carry the replacement ink in the stores. Best Buys person who sold me the printer said the ink would be in stores about a year later, that's why so much ink came with the printer. (3) Could not find a video on youTube nor the Brother web site showing how to refill the ink. I could only find a video on a slightly older but very similar model. (4) You can't just refill an empty ink cartridge and put it back in the printer. There is a little electronic gizmo which plugs into the wall and is used to reset the cartridge. This gizmo does not come with the printer -- it has to be purchased separately. Long story short -- it does not stand up to the competition. I hope to return it after having it in my possession less than 24 hours.
