Needles are not neoprene tipped!
The delivered items are not neoprene tipped. Instead, they are old fashioned 100% steel items. I made the purchase based on photo.

Excellent Fit and Finish
High quality welds and polishing. Easily installed on my 1978 GS1000EC. Might require removal of one center pipe in order to change oil filter. No clearance problems with side and center stands. Probably 30-40 pounds lighter than stock exhaust. Sounds great. Don't waste your money on a cheap carbon steel exhaust. Make sure to clean system with a good solvent (I used acetone) before firing up the bike.
